Carin Noerhadi

Co-founder & Executive Director

Carin is the co-founder and Executive Director of foodagogik.

She graduated from the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany) in 2021 with an MSc in Environmental Protection and Agricultural Food Production and has over 5 years of experience working in sustainable food system transitions. Her MSc thesis focused on operationalizing the term 'local' in local food systems and modeled its key components to investigate localization potential for the food supply of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Her research interests include spatial variations in and relationships between climate factors, dietary patterns, and nutrition outcomes, drivers and barriers toward healthy and sustainable eating habits such that public health benefits are maximized, and food systems modeling.

Carin enjoys homemade cooking, dynamic movements, and critical thinking. She loves learning fun facts about food, including that there is no scientific definition of a vegetable.
